Providing a full set of Judaic Studies materials and teaching techniques

for Primary, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary

based on over 20 years of experience in Jewish Montessori

Who We Are:

The Jewish Montessori Training Center at Yeshivat Netivot was created to offer the skills and techniques of Jewish Montessori education to a broad community of teachers from around the world. The Training Center provides teacher trainees with a strong grounding in Jewish Montessori philosophy, curriculum, and methodology, based on twenty years of experience as a flagship school of the Jewish Montessori movement. Trainees will leave the program with an understanding of all aspects of Jewish Montessori education, including Jewish Studies materials, lesson planning, benchmarks, classroom management, record-keeping, and cross-curricular integration.

The JMTC Program Includes:

  • Quality instruction hours with experienced teachers who are world-renowned Jewish Montessori educators

  •  Chances to practice techniques with peers in authentic Jewish Montessori classrooms

  • Year-round support through mentoring and on-site consultation

  •  Digital files for all printable curricular materials

Summer 2024:

Primary:
July 29-August 9, $2,500

Lower/Upper Elementary:

July 29-August 16, $3,500

Areas of Instruction:

JMTC currently offers three levels of training:
Primary (3-6), Lower Elementary (6-9), and Upper Elementary (9-12)

All courses include:

•    Jewish Montessori Philosophy

•    Classroom Management

•    Positive Discipline
Primary:

•    Hebrew Language, Parasha, Chagim
Lower Elementary:

•    Hebrew Language, Chumash, Parasha, Chagim
Upper Elementary:

•    Chumash, Navi, Mishna, Jewish History, Parasha, Chagim

Each Level of Training Consists of:

  • Academic phase - Students attend classes held at our training center during the summer

  •  Practicum phase - Students work at approved sites of their choice during the school year

  •  Students attend virtual sessions at intervals four times during the year

  • Coaching - JMTC instructors provide coaching during the practicum year

  • Site Visits - Each participating school receives one site visit during the course of the practicum year. Travel expenses are to be paid by the trainee’s school.

The program is held at Yeshivat Netivot Montessori, 511 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
 

Training takes place in classrooms equipped with Jewish Montessori
materials developed by Netivot for use with its own students. 


JMTC is located an hour from NYC and Brooklyn, 90 minutes from Philadelphia, and half an hour from Newark Airport.
